It is way too early to be thinking about your next procedure! You body needs time to heal. Be patient with your recovery. The swelling at 1 week post op will mask your results and distort things. Keep any scheduled follow ups with your operating surgeon so they can guide you through the recovery process. It can easily take 6-9 months to see your final results. Best wishes,Dr. B
Dear tiff0118,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides, you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
It is way too early to know what your final results are going to be. Wait at least 6 months before deciding if you need additional surgery. Good luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. It would be useful to see pictures. Generally speaking, it is possible to get a full tummy tuck after a mini. I would wait at least 3 months or so to before judging your final results. Best,
Hello. Great question. However, you are very early in your recovery process. There is still swelling involved. Pictures will help in evaluating you better. I will recommend waiting until all the swelling goes down before considering undergoing another surgical procedure. If concerns persist, please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination.
Dear tiff0118,Thank you for your question. Given that you are only 8 days after surgery, it is far too early to assess your results. Give at least 3-4 months before you start judging the results. I know at times the waiting can be frustrating, but your body will continue to transform as the swelling subsides. Best regards,Nirmal R. Yes, you can convert a mini tummy tuck to a full tummy tuck but it won't be for several months. At eight days post op swelling is expected and will continue for several more weeks. Try to be patient and closely follow your surgeon's post operative instructions for optimal results.
Thank you for your question. You are still very early in your recovery period. Swelling will continue to decrease over the next few weeks, upwards of a couple months. Wait to see your final result prior to considering any other procedures. Address your concern with your board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
thank you for your question. At 8 days post you are still very swollen so a lot can happen still. You can always do a revision with a full tummy tuck if the laxity of your skin permits it. Always best to wait at least 12-15 months. Best of luck
You are very early in your healing phase and need to give yourself time to heal. Stretch marks can be addressed later with microneedling treatments.
It’s not uncommon to feel tired during the recovery period after a mini tummy tuck, especially in the first few weeks. Your body is healing, and this can require a significant amount of energy. Make sure to get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, and follow your surgeon’s post-operative care ins...
The pins and needles you've been experiencing need to be discussed with your surgeon. This could be a result of nerve involvement due to the issues you experienced. Your surgeon should follow your progress.
I encourage you to discuss this with your surgeon as she/he is most familiar with the details of your procedure and health history. While you may be able to physically drive your husband to his surgery, you will likely need someone else to be his caregiver as you both then will be recovering...
