Juvederm Volbella results wearing off within days?

Hopefully, they took some photos before your initial injection and can then compare it to your photos after your two weeks have elapsed.  This will give you the best idea of how much improvement you have had.  Occasionally, it's very subtle and hard to appreciate without referencing photos.  There are a number of other fillers that can provide more volume than Volbella, if that is your primary concern.  Best of luck!

It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Volbella. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Thank you for sharing your question.  Depending on the amount of volume you want in your lip it may take several syringes of Volbella to have a material effect as it comes in 0.5mL syringes compared to other fillers like Juvederm Ultra Plus which comes in 1.0mL syringes.  If Volbella is not achieving your goals I would recommend switching to a thicker, more structural filler like Juvederm Ultra Plus.  

Volbella is an ideal dermal filler for patients who want a subtle, natural look to their lips and are afraid of too much volume. However, if it isn't delivering the look that you like, there are other fillers than can give more "plump" to the lips such as Juvéderm and Restylane. 

Volbella is a great product for lip enhancement because it tends to be softer and more elastic than other fillers used in the lip. However, if you are looking for more volume I would suggest using a hyaluronic acid with a larger particle size. Regular Juvederm or Restylane are great products for adding volume to the lips. Volbella is also used in smaller doses than Juvederm or Restylane. A volbella treatment is 0.5 mL of hyaluronic acid while the regular products Juvederm and Restylane are 1.0 mL. Hope this helps.

hyaluronic acid filler designed to enhance the lips. I find that Volbella works best for subtle enhancement. For volumization I prefer other products such as Juvederm. Volumization is possible with Volbella but 4 or more syringes may be required. Please

Thank you for your question. Volbella is incredibly popular in our practice. This is largely because it results in subtle lip enhancement that is usually not noticeable by others. Patients tend to like this when they don't want an actual lip augmentation but just gentle enhancement. I would not use volbella if you are interested in major lip augmentation. I would suggest a more robust filler such as restylane, ultra plus, vollure. Good luck. 

Thank you for your question.  I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the results of your Volbella treatment.  It's difficult to make exact recommendations without assessing you in-person, or at least reviewing your before and after photos.  That said, the lips are prone to swelling immediately after filler injections.  As this swelling resolves, it can give the impression that filler itself is dissipating, but this isn't really the case - Volbella lasts for up to 1 year in the lips.  Generally speaking, Volbella is a very soft filler, and is best suited for very subtle augmentation of the lips.  If you are not getting the volume you are looking for, it may we worthwhile to discuss trying a more robust product like Juvederm Ultra Plus or Restylane with your dermatologist.  Best of luck!
