I had vobella injected into my tear trough 2 months ago. This week I have swelling under my eyes every day and the swelling feels hard, almost like lumps, and it's obvious to look at. I do not have any allergy or sinus symptoms so don't believe it is that. Could these be from the tear trough injections ?
Answer: Could swelling, 2 months later, be from tear trough injections? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I see your areas of concern. It would be unusual to suddenly have swelling develop 2 months after Volbella placement but I would see your injector for an in-person evaluation. If it proves to be the filler you can either allow for time to improve your results, adding conservative measures such as cold packs, head elevation, and arnica/bromelain or have your injector dissolve the material with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Answer: Volbella tear trough and swelling Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. If you haven't had this recurrent swelling in the past, i.e. Prior to your Volbella treatment, then the swelling is likely due to the filler. I would make sure your injector is well experienced, as this is the one area that I see the most visits for second opinions on how to correct a previous filler treatment. Some hyaluronidase can be used to help dissolve some previous treatment. I would revisit with your injector or a new one who has experience with the use of hyaluronidase. Best of luck.

Answer: Delayed swelling Yes. Some patients do experience this kind of delayed swelling in the tear trough area. Make an appointment to see your injector about having some of the filler dissolved. So sorry that you are experiencing this.

Answer: Swelling tear trough area after 2 months Thank you for your question. The answer is simply yes. Tear trough area s a really sensitive area to treat so i warn everyone that if they get this swelling its most likely due to the filler affecting the lymphatic drainage. It does seem to tak this long to develop. sometimes the volbella is injected deep and its taken this amount of time for the filler to slowing leak through the muscle and end up too superficial with swelling as it loves water. this can be sorted out by you doctor by injecting hyaluonidase to dissolve some of the product. This can happen with an dermal filler injected in this area. Hope this helps

Answer: Tear Trough Swelling Thank you for your question. The swelling you are experiencing could certainly be related to the filler in your under eye area. This is very common and can occur at any point following the injection, although it is typically in the first several weeks. I always recommend dissolving the filler at this point as the swelling is likely not going to completely go away. Since it is volbella it may require multiple attempts at dissolving.
