Specifically I was interested in the fat tissue transfer for a breast enhancement. Does this procedure lift breasts in addition to enlarging and could one expect the breasts to sag over time? Lastly, is this procedure as non-invasive as they claim to be. It sounds too good to be true to me.
Answer: Fat transfer Fat transfer doesn't do much to lift the breasts. You may get some small amount of lift if you have a significant size increase, but that would require several sessions. A breast augmentation with implant might be a more straightforward way to go. There are actually pictures of fat grafting to the breasts on this website, so you can see that you really don't get much in the way of a lift at all. Fat grafting is not a non-invasive procedure and you should be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise. There are some specific complications such as fat emboli that are truly devastating. You should meet with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. There are many really well qualified surgeons in the Milwaukee area. Look for someone who has completed a fellowship in plastic surgery. Wisconsin has a strong plastic surgery community, but you still need to be sure that you are actually getting a plastic surgeon.

Answer: Fat transfer does not lift breasts to any significant degree Fat transfer typically moves tissue forward, but not up. It is useful, but has complications including calcification which can look like breast cancer on mammograms later. It is useful for small-volume augmentations. To get a true lift will require scars and as most things that sound to good to be true, they usually are. Make certain you're dealing with a board certified plastic surgeon who did a plastic surgery residency. There are many out there who are calling themselves cosmetic surgeons who have NOT done a residency in plastic surgery, but in gynecology, family medicine or emergency medicine commonly. Be careful as you shop and make certain your dealing with a board certified plastic surgeon!

Answer: Does fat transfer lift breasts? Fat transfer enlarged breasts but does not lift them. You could have a lift performed at the same time as the fat transfer though. Fat transfer requires liposuction of another body part (usually the belly but can be anywhere you have extra fat) in order to put it into your breasts. Very small (1 cm) incisions are used so it is not non-invasive but the scars are minimal. Best wishes!

Answer: Breast fat transfer Breast fat transfer it’s good increasing breast size from 1/2 to one full cup. It does not however change the shape of the breast very much. If the nipple position is low and patients typically need a formal breast lift Gahan if the problem is a lack of volume in the upper half of the breast then this procedure will have to some degree but the ideal treatment is using an implant. Overall Airsculpt offered by Elite buddy Sculpture is an excellent procedure and the company has a good reputation. They offer free consultations so I suggest you go in and meet one of the providers to get an assessment and learn more about the procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
