Give the Botox a full 2 weeks to fully kick in to see if the brows settle any. At worse, you probably only need around 2 units injected in the areas above the brow that are still moving too much. It is my practice to not charge for touch ups following an initial injection session with a patient; however, each Doctor is different. Remember to only see core injectors for your cosmetic Injectables -- facial plastic surgeons, plastic surgeons, or dermatologists.
Botox can take up to 10-14 days for full effect. I would advise making a follow up in about a week to be evaluated. If the irregularity doesn't improve, it can be easily tweaked with a small amount of botox. As far as charges go, every physician is different; however, at worst case it should only be a small amount injected.
Thank you for your question and photograph. Depending on the placement of Botox it can start to have effects at different times in different parts of the face. If you received Botox to your forehead you may want to wait at least two weeks to see what your results will be. If you did not have any Botox to your forehead a series of small injections would help to drop your eyebrows. Hope that this helps.
If Botox creates too much of an arched brow it can definitely be corrected in order to lower the eyebrows. When discussing costs for a touch up, it really depends on the practice. Typically when you are charged per unit, a touch up, if needed is considered your responsibility to pay. In my office we charge by area and touch ups are free. I see my patients for follow up 2 weeks following their injection and I touch up the areas if needed. I would suggest you contact your doctor's office and find out if they charge for touch ups.
This is known as the Mephisto look and occurs because injections were not done laterally enough so return to your doctor and it is easily corrected with injections into the lateral forehead area
Botox typically takes one week to reach its peak effect, sometimes two. Only the doctor who treated you can tell you if they will touch up free of charge. In my office, when it is within 3 weeks of the treatment, and the touch up takes less than 5 units, I will do this at no charge for my patients. I ask people to check themselves in the mirror in one week, make faces, and if anything seems odd then to call me at my office so we can fit them in immediately for a touch up.
We can not speak fir each treating doctor their own office policies. Best to return to see what can be done. But the other option is allowing the BOTOX to metabolize over the next few weeks away....
I ask my patients to wait a full week after Botox to let it fully kick in. If a patient needs a small touch-up in my office there is no charge as long as it is done within a reasonable time frame after the initial treatment. Regards,Dr. Ort
Hello Shellyteaches,The Botox has not reached its final effect yet. You really need to give it 2 weeks before you make any decisions. If there is still a slight asymmetry your injector can inject a few units of Botox for you. With regards to the price that is up to the practice. You should call and ask, but usually you are charged for any Botox you are treated with. I hope this helps and good luck.
A small amount of Botox in your forehead will give you a natural look, but wait another week to see if you will still need it. Your doctor will inform you if there is an additional charge.
Allergic reactions to Botox are very rare. One of the reasons it is so popular is because it works so well for the majority of people. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your injector before having treatment.
Every office is different. At my office,Botox and Fillers can be done the same day as your consult appointment. I tell my patients to avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Vitamin E, and Fish Oil at least seven to ten days prior to your appointmentand for five days following treatment. After...
I wish I could see a picture of your face showing the smile problem you have. Were your masseters treated? No, massaging the injected muscle will not help. Botox can take 3-6 months to go away in an unwanted area.HOWEVER, the way to get rid of Botox when too much has been used in a spot is to...
