Finally took the plunge and got lip filler for the first time. I wasn't seeking the hyperinflated lips of a pampered socialite, just smooth, soft, natural contours with a wee bit of volume. Dr. Klein suggested Volbella, and it is *lovely*. Truly my lips, but better. My pucker looks smoother, more hydrated and more youthful. The best part: No pain, no bruising, no lumps, no bumps and only minimal swelling for about an hour or so after the procedure. I could easily go out in public. This is all because Dr. Klein is an experienced professional who goes the extra mile to minimize side effects. She is incredibly gentle as well as personable. The entire staff—front office and back—is wonderful. If you're considering lip fillers but are scared of pain, swelling or bruising, see Dr. Klein! Oh, and the price for this pretty kiss is very reasonable.
Dr. Klein and her fantastic team did so much to help me shave off a decade or more! I had IPL for brown spots and old sun damage, voluma for some definition, botox to help with lines and wrinkles and a tiny bit of lip plumping. I can't recommend Dr. Klein highly enough. She is an artist and an exacting, discriminating specialist as well as so personable and funny! I love her and all her team. I wish all my doctors were as professional, highly skilled and caring as her!
I have seen Dr. Klein for cosmetic dermatology for a few years. Dr. Klein placed Voluma Right where I needed it. The procedure was painless and lovely improvement. I did not bruise and was happy with the procedure from begging to end. Dr. Klein is an expert at injections and makes your trip to the dermatologist worth every penny.
Voluma by far has been the best filler for me. Long lasting and excellent results. I've also had Sculptra in the past. Dr Klein has always answered my questions thoughly and I ask a lot of questions! Staff has always returned phone calls. I can't say enough about what an excellent injector she is. Botox is almost painfree and I used to have a needle phobia. My whole family goes to her practice. We've been seen for conditions like sunburns to dark lines in a finger nail that needed more serious attention.
For 8 years now, I have gone to Dr. Klein for all my dermatology needs which includes reconstruction. With all the up to date procedures, Dr Klein is a pioneer in cosmetric, and reconstruction procedures. Always have and perfecting and challenging the products to better service her patients. Even if I move, I will always come back to Dr. Marla Klein.
I have been treated by Dr. Klein for 7 years for everything from melanoma to cosmetic needs. She is not only an accomplished professional for dermatology needs - but she has a serious, no hype approach to cosmetic fillers etc. I have actually had Dr. Klein tell me - "no, let's don't do this today - you don't need it" etc. That is a professional. I still trust her to treat me for whatever the need I have at the time - whether serious or fun & cosmetic! Voluma is the newest treatment I receive and I have been very pleased. I would like to avoid the "big snip" and this seems to be doing the trick. You will not be sorry to trust your care to Dr. Marla Klein.
I did this for me! I wanted to remain looking my best. I started to see Dr Klein in 2013 and together we developed a plan that did not include surgery. I started with Sculptra and when Voluma came out have changed to it. I also am getting Botox. I am extremely happy with my results. At this point I am on what I call a maintenance plan. I go into Dr Klein's office for regular Botox treatments and we evaluate where I am regarding Voluma. Voluma is an amazing product because it has immediate results and should last 4-5 years. Dr Klein also has what is her special (treatment) of the month. Just go to her website (google her name) to see her specials. I really like Dr Klein and her staff. Dr Klein listened to what I wanted to achieve and was very honest with me on what I can expect. Her staff is both caring and fun! I highly recommend her without hesitation!
I've been seeing Dr Klein and her staff for about three years. I've gotten great results and feel so much better about myself and the way I look. I've used Botox, Juvaderm, and other fillers. I also have a chemical peel every year in the fall. I buy most of my daily use products from Klein dermatology and I'm always introduced to new products. These are always products recommended by Dr. Klein herself because she has used them with great results.
I love Marla! She has been my doctor for many years and I wouldn't trust my dermatology needs to anyone else. Even if I'm seeing her for a cosmetic treatment she is always keeping an eye on my skin for trouble. I'm in my mid sixties and I completely trust her judgement on what treatments and products will keep me aging gracefully and naturally. She stays current on new treatments and products and will make suggestions based on your request, your age or even how much money you want to spend, and her prices are very competitive! Marla has a great eye for enhancing bone structure and loss of volume so that I look rested and healthy, and not like I've had anything done. Even my husband can't tell. His comment is - " not certain what she did but it looks great". Her staff are also wonderful, very friendly and helpful. As I mentioned I've been her patient for going on 20 years and would highly recommend her to anyone AND if you are younger and wanting to get started with an aesthetic regime and a doctor you can trust Dr. Klein is an excellent choice.
Dear Mega,I'm going to assume you are asking about treatments to the same body section, for example the lower abdomen. The body typically takes 2-3 months to remove and excrete the unwanted fat cells that were treated with CoolSculpting. This is the reason we ask patients to wait 2-3 months and then re-evaluate. Depending on the body site, treatments done too close together could result in an uneven or overtreated result. The average expectation is 25-33% of fat layer to be destroyed. However, the new 2017 technology machine (not the parallel plates) is highly efficient and we have seen patients lose 95% of their targeted fat in just one treatment. Why spend the money on a 2nd treatment to an area if it isn't needed?Whereas, you can start treating a different body area right away. There is the chance of some soreness and swelling for 1-2 weeks afterwards, which one may want to keep in mind when scheduling. For an example, it would be all right to treat the upper and lower abdomen one day, and 3 weeks later do a treatment session on the legs.I hope that helps,Marla M. Klein MD
I would call your ear problem a type of atypical rosacea. When flushing happens repeatedly the skin gets and stays more and more red longer. I would see a Board Certified Dermatologist, and I do agree with you that Intense Pulsed Light treatments are probably your best option. Sometimes antihistamines can help reduce a flushing episode. I know rosacea patients that will take a Claritin or a Zyrtec before public speaking or a party. Have you tried taking a Claritin at lunch time yet? Have you evaluated what you are eating or doing at lunchtime that may be triggering the flushing response to happen a couple hours later?
I think you should make an appointment with a Board Certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon in your area who is known to be an expert in the area of fillers. Examining a patient while they are talking and moving their face as well as being able to touch the skin and structure of the face are important components to the evaluation. Fillers such as Voluma can be used to safely, simply and reversibly to augment areas of the face such as temples, cheekbones and jawline. I don't think you should get lip injections.
Botox (or Xeomin or Dysport) is the simplest and best way to control excessive underarm sweating. Typically dermatologists can begin with options such as a topical Rx for Drysol or an oral Rx Robinul, but patients strongly prefer the injections with Botox. The only concern then becomes cost. Some people need 100 units of Botox once a year and others can need 300 units every 3 months and still not be completely dry. Some insurance companies will cover this procedure, others do not. The procedure takes about 15 minutes. I would recommend you see a Board Certified Dermatologist for evaluation and treatment of this problem.
After finishing with Accutane, I usually transition patients to a topical retinoid like Retin A or Differin. Vitamin A (retinoids) help promote collagen to assist in the filling in of scars. Typically dermatologists advise patients to wait a year before starting any laser treatments. The soonest I've seen recommended is six months. Currently the non-ablative lasers are the ideal way to treat acne scars. I have also found Sculptra to be helpful if there are any deep saucer type scars present.
