Uneven breasts 1 month post-op - 2 pockets created differently? (Photos)

Question

As u can see from my pictures, from the 1st day after surgery I find out that my right boob looks bigger, and after removing the bands I can see the bottom of my right boob is lower than left one,now it's been 5weeks as the sofer my boobs get, nothing has changed this "uneven look", the bottom of my right boob is 1.5cm lower than left one but the top of 2 boobs r same. As this has shown from the 1st day, I'm wondering is it possible my surgeon has created 2 pockets differently by accident?

You may get some improvement over time. The  procedure to lower an implant is easy but then may make the top half of your breasts look uneven if they are even now. Just keep that in mind that breasts are sisters not twins. Good luck!

Thank you for your question.  My strong advice is to wait a full 4-6 months before considering the final result of your breast augmentation procedure.  You are likely still swollen and your implants do need time to settle into the pocket.  Best of luck.

Dear Bellajoang,dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position.Your photos do show asymmetry and I understand that you are worried about it. However, you are still in the early phase of the recovery period. Please do allow some time for the healing process to occur. If after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concernsDaniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

There is definitely some asymmetry present.  I would recommend waiting a couple of months after the surgery to allow everything to settle out.  It may even out.  If it doesn't, a small touch up can correct it.  Good luck!

It is too early to conclude your results. Your body is still in the recovery phase and you may still be experiencing swelling at this time. Asymmetry is not uncommon to post op. It usually takes 6 months or more to see your final results and by then you could decide if you want a revision surgery or you are satisfied with your results. Your surgeon would be your best advisor in post op concerns.
