Sore throat/uncontrollable coughing after breast augmentation surgery. what do I do?

I had BA surgery 5 days ago. As to be expected, my throat hurt and was very dry for 2 days. I have started having coughing fits that last 5+ minutes. It feels like there is hair(?) stuck in the left side of my throat. I find myself gasping for air at points from not being able to breathe in without coughing. Tonight I started throwing up from coughing so much. I was in the bathroom about half hour. My uvula is also black/blue at the bottom. Results of intubation? How do I stop coughing?

Hi Trishyishy8,Thank you for your question! I typically have patients hold off on strenuous activity (heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling) for 6 weeks after your procedure. I always recommend following up with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area.Best of luck!
