Thank you for your question! You should only need to ice for a few hours after the procedure. It may take the swelling a few days to completely subside.
Hello and thank you for your question. Swelling can take up to two weeks to completely settle, however, after the first few days most of it subsides. I suggest icing for the first two days, on and off for a few minutes at a time. Hope this helps.
Yes, swelling can be typical after lip fillers. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement as long as necessary. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Thank you for your question! Swelling and bruising are common after lip injections and can persist up to two weeks. Intermittently icing the area for the first few days and keeping your head elevated may help. Also some patients find using Arnica and Bromelain supplements to be beneficial for healing. Best of luck!
Hello, Thank you so much for the question! I am happy to help!Swelling can last up to 3 days after injection. It is also recommended to wait 14 days to judge the final results of the lips! Icing can help with discomfort but isn't a necessity.Hope this helps!
Swelling can last up to 2 weeks after a injection with a filler. Icing periodically for a few minutes for the first 24-48 hours will help to minimize swelling and bruising. You could also consider using an antihistamine for the swelling.
Swelling is going to happen after any lip filler. There are different versions of Juvéderm and they will vary in their swelling characteristics. I love to use frozen peas instead of ice. It's impossible to over-chill with peas because they'll thaw before doing any harm and they are very moldable in a small baggie. Typically using them for a few hours are injection is all that is helpful. If you have swelling beyond a week or so, return to your doctor for an evaluation.
Hello and thank you for your question! In my practice we also offer Juvederm for lip augmentation. Swelling is definitely a normal side effect of fillers, and will subside by two weeks post procedure. I recommend using ice packs for the first day or two, along with keeping your head elevated. Arnica, which is a homeopathic pill, is what I recommend my patients to take in order to prevent bruising and swelling. Hope this helps!Dr. O Report

Swelling after lip filler augmentation is very common. Although it can last for over 1 week, most patients will notice resolution of such swelling within couple days. Using ice packs in the first few days is appropriate. In cases of very severe swelling some physicians may consider oral medications including either antihistamines or rarely prednisone. Of course, if such swelling persists for over 1 week you should see your physician and determine if hyaluronidase enzyme is needed to dissolve some of the filler (very rare).
Hi Jean, Thank you for your question - it brings up a very important consumer point. It is a good idea to educate yourself about what products are being injected and how they are being injected into your body. Your injector should keep records of the product used, including...
Thank you for your question! If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. It may take a series of treatments. See an expert. Best of luck!
It is slightly unclear on the image provided, but at 7 days post-procedure, it could still be bruising. If it is bruising, it will go away over time.
