This has never happened to me before, I am devastated and I am afraid this will be permanent damage to my skin. I am planning on contacting the injector tomorrow but I don’t know what to expect from her. Can you give me advice I what I can do? Thank you
Answer: Bruising after fillers goes away Usually bruises that result from injections of fillers goes away in two weeks. As long as you have no pain or rawness in the skin, a bruise can get better by using warm compresses (not too hot to avoid burning the skin), Vbeam laser treatment if done within a couple of days after the bruise develops, and being patient to allow time to pass. Facial bruises should not leave any permanent mark. Bruises can happen at any time, regardless how many times before someone has had fillers. Even if avoiding all blood thinning agents such as aspirin, fish oil and other supplements that are blood thinners, non steroidal antiinflammatory agents such as Aleve, Advil (Motrin, Ibuprofen) etc., bruises can happen no fault of the injector as vessels are hiding underneath the skin an can rupture whether needles or cannulaes are used.Your provider will evaluate and recommend treatments specifically for you. Some patients take arnica the herb, around the time of injections which may help lessen bruising and swelling, and some recommend bromelain a pineapple derivative, but ask you doctor about this, not for this episode, but for future treatments.

Answer: Bruising post injections Hi! Thank you for your question and photo. That appears to be a bruise, which is typical and may occur post dermal filler injections. Generally, the worst of the bruising and swelling lasts about 3-5 days, but it can last up to 2 weeks post injections. Avoiding blood thinners, taking arnica montana and/or bromelain supplements pre- and post- injections, and applying arnica gel to the injected areas can help to reduce swelling and bruising. Additionally, lasers such as the Vbeam or IPL can be used to help bruises heal faster.

Answer: This could be bruising. It is slightly unclear on the image provided, but at 7 days post-procedure, it could still be bruising. If it is bruising, it will go away over time.

Answer: Broken capillary Sometimes those will go away with time but if not, you can do a very simple laser procedure to correct that. Talk to the office where you received the procedure and ask if they have any lasers to correct this.
