Would be advisable to do cryo therapy shortly after getting Juvederm?

Question

I usually bruise after getting lip injections, although ice helps with the swelling. I thought that perhaps having a cryo facial (no traditional facial techniques or manipulation of muscles, just cold air therapy) afterwards would be even more beneficial.

Cryotherapy is unlikely to improve bruising. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results. I use micro-cannulas to limit bruising. Hope this helps.

This is unlikely to help improve bruising. I recommend injections with cannulas to minimize bruising. Arnica and VBeam treatments will give improvement for bruising. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Bruising is not uncommon after lip fillers and resolves in few days. Ice pack may provide some relief but you need to be careful not to cause skin damage.

I'm not sure if you will see a big difference in using cryo therapy.  There are some other options to consider.  Some patients use the supplements Arnica and Bromelain to help with bruising and swelling.  Icing intermittently and keeping your head elevated can be beneficial.  Remember to stop the use of NSAIDs, aspirin, Vitamin E and other medications and supplements that thin the blood 7 days prior to injection.
