you don't. Medicaid and other insurers only cover medically necessary or functional operations. breast implants do not fall into those categories
Elective cosmetic surgery is not covered by Medicaid. Breast augmentation is something you will have to save it for and pay out-of-pocket.
Medicaid is meant for medically necessary services. Fibrocystic breasts do not mean you "need" breast implants. They are medically necessary only for breast reconstruction after breast cancer. Otherwise, breast implants are 100% cosmetic, elective, and not medically necessary. Medicaid does not and should not cover such a procedure.
Cosmetic Surgery IS NOT a covered benefit in ANY health insurance. Sorry but nice to have you use RealSelf...
Unfortunately, medicaid will not cover cosmetic surgery. Many offices offer financing like credit care to help pay for cosmetic procedures.
Elective breast surgery will not be covered through Medicaid or any other type of “insurance”. Personally, I think that the best way to go is to slowly save up for the desired procedure. In my opinion, best to be financially, psycho socially, and physically stable prior to proceeding with elective surgery. Placing implants over the muscle to achieve a breast lift is usually a futile maneuver. As long as you understand that scars are necessary for a breast lift, and without a lift you will have larger droopy breasts, you may proceed with breast augmentation alone.
Sloshing is normal after breast augmentation surgery. There is a small amount of fluid in the pocket from the surgery, and because surgery is performed in room air and not a vacuum, there is also a small amount of air. It takes several days for thet air to be absorbed, after which the sloshing...
In general, gummy bear implants are great for the explanting surgeon, as the silicone is not runny. That said, MRI's are not usually able to detect leakage and have a 15% false negative rate for ruptures. And in my experience, the women with leaking implants begin to have multiple...
