you don't. Medicaid and other insurers only cover medically necessary or functional operations. breast implants do not fall into those categories
Elective cosmetic surgery is not covered by Medicaid. Breast augmentation is something you will have to save it for and pay out-of-pocket.
Medicaid is meant for medically necessary services. Fibrocystic breasts do not mean you "need" breast implants. They are medically necessary only for breast reconstruction after breast cancer. Otherwise, breast implants are 100% cosmetic, elective, and not medically necessary. Medicaid does not and should not cover such a procedure.
Cosmetic Surgery IS NOT a covered benefit in ANY health insurance. Sorry but nice to have you use RealSelf...
Unfortunately, medicaid will not cover cosmetic surgery. Many offices offer financing like credit care to help pay for cosmetic procedures.
Elective breast surgery will not be covered through Medicaid or any other type of “insurance”. Personally, I think that the best way to go is to slowly save up for the desired procedure. In my opinion, best to be financially, psycho socially, and physically stable prior to proceeding with elective surgery. Patients undergoing elective surgery should understand that additional expenses may become necessary, in the short or long-term. Best wishes.
In your situation, breast implants would be considered aesthetic, Medicaid will be unlikely to cover it.
Breast implants will not be covered by any insurance companies unless you are a breast cancer survivor and having a reconstructive procedure. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the insurance will not cover breast augmentation. If you have significant fibrocystic disease which requires multiple biopsies breast augmentation with implants may not be a viable option for you.

Computer imaging is only partially accurate so do not put that much weight into these photos. Secondly 30 cc's is only a shot glass as a good visual volume equivalent. Silicone implants are factory sealed and about 30 cc's between most sizes, whereas saline implants are filled at the time...
Thank you for your question and photo. A breast lift with implants would give you the best result. The shape of the breast will trump the scars. Scars will fade and become less noticeable over time. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to fully discuss your questions. Bes...
This Is perfectly normal and will disappear in the next few weeks. It is from air and fluid (irrigation, local anesthetic, serum, etc) in the pocket which will be naturally absorbed over time
Dear Noryst,All of the newest generation silicone implants are made of a cohesive gel giving them a "gummy bear" like feel. One of the key differences of these newer implants is that the gel is not a liquid and does not ooze out or "bleed" across the wall in the event rupture. This characteristic...
