When can I go snorkeling after rhinoplasty?

Hello,Thanks for your question. It is probably safe to go snorkeling 2-3 months after surgery because there should be minimal swelling and pain at this point. Also nasal bones should be healed and immobile by this time. It may make sense to get one of the new full face snorkeling masks to take all pressure off your nose.Good luck,Dr. Shah

 It is acceptable to  go snorkeling eight weeks after rhinoplasty. Your nose will likely be a little bit tender when you strap the snorkel mask on, but it should not affect the nose. Its always best to check with your operative surgeon. A Closed rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish making the required changes with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. There's also no external incisions.
