Hi, I wanted to know if PRP is safe and effective during pregnancy. I'm 31 years old on my first pregnancy. have never suffered from alopecia before, although I know my mom has suffered from it when she were young and stressed . I've been using Triamcinolone ointment for 6 weeks and had one low dose shot of steroids to my scalp. both have been super effective. The thing is that I've been stressed again lately and got 5 new patches on my scalp..

In general, we do not suggest performing cosmetic procedures during pregnancy.
but after pregnancy yes you can try PRP or Alma Ted.

there is no reason you cant get injections during pregnancy IMO. although people may say its not studied hair injections are local and do not get absorbed. add acell to the PRP. start theradome now and our hair loss protocol.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Anything in medicine that hasn't undergone good clinical study to show safety and efficacy I would tell patients to be extremely cautious. It could be that you are fine but bear in mind there are some conflicting studies that show injections with prp and Like any injection there can be risk of infection that can spread to the womb. It's better to wait in my oppinion as hard as that may seem
