Question

I’m scheduled for a bbl and my torso is very straight would a doctor be able to make me an hourglass shape? I don’t want bolted on hips but more so a curve )( I’m 5’3 135 pounds

Hello @Considerate29339, thank you for your question. I believe it is important to keep in mind that BBL, which in my opinion is best performed through a liposculture procedure and then fat transfer to the glutes, enhances the contours of the body. It also improves proportionality across the body. However, it does not alter bone structure. In order to improve proportion, it is possible to remove fat accumulations that do not correspond with the symmetry of the body. Thanks to the latest surgical techniques and technologies, we can achieve an adequate result. Having an adequate gluteal projection and an appropriate relationship with the hip and waist. based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thanks for your question. From your pictures, you seem to be a good BBL candidate. The BBL includes 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. This helps contour your waist and give you an hourglass figure, and the transferred fat will add projection to your buttocks. In addition, if you do not have enough fat in these areas, liposuction can be performed in many other areas of the body for fat transfer to the buttocks, such as the upper arms and chin. Depending on your desired results, you may be asked to gain some weight. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with BBLs and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Thanks for the posted photos of yourself and wish pics, very nicely done. You are classified as a "SKINNY BBL" since your BMI us under 24! Limited donor fat available. The results you desire are doubtful. Have you seen your chosen operative surgeon in person or virtually? Or have you just spoken to an office gal? In cases as yours I offer my "COMPOSITE SKINNY BBL" - that is a combination of fat grafting with injection BBL using Radeisse/Sculptra/HA fillers in addition to the fat. Fees from $10,000-$25,000. I think you have a very attractive body that already looks far better than most women’s your age.
Based on the fact that your body is already curvy and attractive and you have modest amounts of subcutaneous fat you should get a stellar outcome.
To get the best understanding of what’s possible I recommend having multiple in person consultations with plastic surgeons in your community.
I generally do not recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures but recognize that sometimes there may be limited local talent.
During in person consultations ask providers to open up their portfolio and show you all of their before and after pictures.
Take pictures of your own body and bring those with you and printed format to use as a reference.
Ask providers to show you previous patients who had very similar body characteristics to your own.
An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets of before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures like a BBL.
By looking at actual results of previous patient who had similar body characteristics to your on you should get a much better idea of what can and cannot be achieved with the procedure.
There are a lot of variables that determine what can and cannot be accomplished with the BBL.
Generally speaking young women who have not had children and are slightly chubby are the best candidates.
I recommend patients schedule multiple in person consultations to find the best provider.
As providers to show you a variety of outcomes and make sure you look at results carefully.
Areas treated with Liposuction that should have no contour irregularities in any of the treated areas.
Make sure you have a very clear understanding of exactly what areas will be included with Liposuction and exactly the extent of fat transfer.
Plastic surgeons have very different opinions about how this procedure should be done including what a female body should look like.
There is more variation in outcomes with the BBL than any other plastic surgery procedure I’ve ever seen.
Finding the right provider is paramount and getting a quality outcome.
Poorly done Liposuction can permanently leave people disfigured.
Please choose your provider carefully and you should be all set for a home run result.
