I know that squats are not recommended in the first couple of weeks, but how about doing overhead press and using a pull up bar for example? And how about using a stationary bike without sitting? Is it possible to do these things on the second week perhaps?

Answer: Question about post-op exercise Thanks so much for your inquire, During the first two weeks, rest is essential. Avoid any strenuous activities and focus on recovery. By week 4-6 you can begin to incorporate low-impact exercises such as walking, light stretching, and gentle yoga. Resuming exercise after a BBL should be done gradually and with care to protect the surgical results and ensure proper healing. Always consult with your surgeon before starting or modifying your exercise routine during recovery. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: When can I exercise after a BBL? I can give you the advice that I give my patients. I think exercise is wonderful before and after a BBL. I have a video exercise program with a very knowledgeable and well educated trainer explaining the exercises with a patient demonstrating them. The main issue is the sitting. So I tell my patients absolutely no sitting for the first two weeks after a BBL except to use the bathroom but otherwise they are free to exercise. The timing works out well because no one really feels like exercising for the first two weeks anyway. If you were well enough to exercise say at ten days then you could do that as long as it doesn't involve any sitting. I left a video link to the Ogee BBL exercise program.
