I had cellfina done about 6 years ago. The procedure left me with tremendous bumps and ridges on my butt and thighs that show through clothing and are even more pronounced when squeezing the butt. I am looking for a solution to fix this. Can the bumps/lumps be improved with lipo or bbl? Can the lumps be removed with surgery?
Answer: Correcting Cellfina Results Thank you for your question. Liposuction and a BBL may improve the ridges and bumps left by the Cellfina. However, localized fat deposits are usually easier to treat with liposuction than abnormalities due to fibrous bands or scarring from prior surgeries. Although the primary goal of a BBL is to increase buttock volume and form, the liposuction portion may also assist in enhancing the overall smoothness and contour of the treated regions, including any parts of the thighs that you may be concerned about. Speak with a board-certified surgeon to determine the exact type of ridges and bumps you have, analyze the condition of your skin, and suggest the best course of action.

Answer: Cellfina Hello, my name is Dr Burko, and I am a Plastic Surgeon at SY Aesthetics in NYC. If your bumps are true cellulite, then your best option is to treat the cellulite itself. Currently, a good option for treating cellulite is Aveli. This device allows to cut the bands underneath the skin that cause dimpling and cellulite. However, if your bumps and dimples are areas lacking fat, then an option for treatment is transferring fat to help fill them out. It is best to consult with a plastic surgeon to assess what is the cause of your buttock bumps and ridges.

Answer: Bumps and ridges Dear MV91, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Fat transfer and buttock augmentation It is very likely that fat transfer to buttocks and hips, if performed properly, would improve your current situation significantly. I am not familiar with Cellfina and whether it is a permanent material? That needs to be discussed with your surgeon ahead of your surgery. You need an expert! board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: Mostly You may get improvements with fat transfer. Although, eliminating all the problem areas completely may be difficult.
