Liver enzymes and mommy makeover - What if they're too high?

Question

I’m 5’5 and weigh 187 I recently had blood work done to make sure everything was ok before surgery and I look and see my ALT levels are 53 and cholesterol was 100 . I’m so sad . I know this either means I won’t get it or might be postponed. I’ve immediately stopped eating meats, dairy, added sugars, pasta bread and much more unhealthy things . Along with now going to the gym every day for 2 hours . I’m scared this won’t get better by may19 for my pre op blood work. Please give advice .

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. You should be healthy prior to elective procedures. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Every lab is important in context of an overall health assessment. Neither of your erroneous labs would preclude you from having a mommy make over.  It is not uncommon for patients to have mild elevations or depressions in their lab values.  Physicians look for patterns:  ALT, SGT, ALk Phos etc. to all be high before causing concerns.
The elevation of a single or dual lab results is not concerning, unless they are one of the essential tests such as with anemia (Hb and HCT).

The lab test information that you included should not prevent you from having elective cosmetic surgery. I doubt anyone would even request any further information.
Many patients wish they had a cholesterol level of 100 And liver enzymes indicative of serious disease are often in numbers counting in the thousands.
I suggest you continue staying healthy since that is generally sound advice. I also recommend you like everybody else. Focus on the two variables that matter most when it comes to quality cosmetic surgery outcomes. Understanding your own candidacy for the procedure and selecting the best provider.
To do that, I recommend patients have multiple in person consultations. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your own. And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you that before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like.
Judge tummy tuck results based on who gets the most natural looking belly button with a very low sat scar that follows anatomic contours naturally, and even on both sides.
For most patients, I recommend scheduling five in person, consultations to help select the best provider. The more consultations, you have the better of an understanding of your candidacy you’ll have, and increase the chance of finding the best provider.
