Got a small amount of hydrogel injected into butt over 13 years ago. How would you approach a BBL with a history like mine?

I got a small amount of hydrogel injected into my butt over 13 years ago. I have never had any adverse effects from it, but now i want a bbl. I found a board certified, realself verified plastic surgeon with experience in cases like mine to do my bbl. His plan is to stay superficial to avoid any hydrogel. Does this sound right? How would you approach a bbl with a history like mine? What advice do you have? I just want a better shape but safely...
