Can I get an FUE hair transplant to cover my hair? (Photo)

Question

Hi I am 47 y had HT done 3 years ago with FUT taking minoxidil 5% foam for 28 years no finasteride . Do not know if I can do an FUE that will succesfully cover my hear or just start topical finasteride. I am super concern by my look for few .. too many month looking bold but not sure I have other option and if my donor are will allow me too as well. If you look at me I am looking OK

Based on your pictures and your story, I believe you are a good candidate for an FUE.  Because you had an FUT before, your donor site density should not be low and thus we can get 3000-3500 FUEs with little difficulty.  Now that should give you better coverage and in the front better density.  I do, however, think that you should still go on Finasteride either oral or topical because if you don't in 3 years you will likely be in this same place.

In such instances, considering a revision hair transplant utilizing the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique could be a viable option. This approach aims to enhance hair density. However, it may not be sufficient to cover the entire bald area. If you seek improvement, this can be achieved.

According to the photos, I think you will need at least 3,000 grafts to cover the whole balding area. However, it is quite difficult to assess the donor area only from the photos. I would highly recommend you to get an in-person consultation with a hair transplant surgeon you trust in order to evaluate the donor area and help you select the right technique for you.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Depending if your donor area is sufficient, you could be a candidate for FUE.  Why haven't you taken FInasteride? I suggest speaking to your doctor about this and see if possible for you to start taking it.  See a reputable doctor and get solid advice for your particular situation.  Best of luck to you.
