Denied surgery for being on methadone? What is the reasoning behind this?

I have had two doctors deny me for surgery because I am prescribed methadone and others have no issue with it. What is the reasoning behind this?

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
