I have these horrible dents on the upper part of my butt and they make me feel really insecure. They are even visible through cloths. What are they and how can I fix them?

Answer: Buttock dents Dear Considerate, The dents are usually a combination of scar bands attached to the skin and lack of fat. The usual treatment is release of the bands and placement of your own fat in the dents. Liposuction of your waist with fat transfer to your buttocks (on a larger scale) would give you a narrow waistline and a rounder buttocks (if desired) Dr. T

Answer: Cellulite treatment options Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that tether the skin. The best treatment is to release the connective tissue bands by a procedure called Subsicion. This can be done with a device called Celfina. It is not a volume problem and simply adding volume with fillers or fat transfer does not correct the problem and can potentially make it worse. There is no great simple treatment for this so expect partial improvements. Subsicion may be more commonly done by dermatologist than surgeons. You’ll have to ask around and plan on doing a few consultations. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
