Brow lift for brow ptosis and to be more symmetrical? (Photos)

Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation.

For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling.

Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping or asymmetry. It looks like you are in cycle of botox asymmetry. I recommend you wait until the botox effect wears off completely first. A board certified plastic surgeon can do an accurate diagnosis on the relationship of your eyelid and eyebrows. I've looked at your picture and feel that you have a couple options - the first is to raise the right brow to match the left and the second is to lower the left brow. I would first consider waiting for the effects of the Botox to wear off on the left side. Botox is often used to elevate the brow and it is possible that Botox could be applied over the right brow to elevate it. Another option would be surgical. A browlift on the lower side could more closely match the left brow, but there may always be an asymmetry, however slight. Hope this helps

Your brow is higher on one side at least in part to an over active muscle. I Would try Botox again , perhaps more and placed closer to brow. Long term unilateral browlift on lower side combined with surgically weaken g the muscle on the other side Woukd be a more permanent solution.

You have left frontalis over-action (the brow muscle working too hard). This pulls the brow up on that side. Botox would be my first recommendation. Likely not enough was given previously if it did not work.

You do not have brow ptosis so you do not need a brow lift. Your photographs demonstrate asymmetric activity of the frontalis muscle (forehead muscle which lifts the brow) with the left side being much more active than the right. This creates the over lifted left brow and forehead creases above the left brow. Your dermatologist was on the right track. What you need is Botox above the left brow to relax the frontalis muscle on the left and bring it down to the level of the right brow which is normal. This may require more Botox than you previously received but should work very well to improve your brow asymmetry. I would suggest you follow up with your dermatologist and ask for a stronger dose of Botox.
