I’m scheduled to get a BBL + Jplasma. For reference, I’m 5’2” 138 lbs. I have a couple back rolls but aside from that, no other issue with excess skin/rolls. I recently saw that the FDA does not approve of JPlasma for use with liposuction! Should I cancel the JPlasma add-on? Does JPlasma cause a painful recovery? https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/safety-communications/fda-warns-against-use-renuvionj-plasma-device-certain-aesthetic-procedures-fda-safety-communication
Answer: J Plasma I personally do not like to use any liposuction technique that adds heat because I think it leads to more scarring and more fibrosis which is very difficult to treat and this combined with the FDA warning would not suggest using J Plasma. As for the back rolls if you watch the linked video it will explain more but the bottom line is the back rolls will improve--sometimes they really almost go away and other times they are thinner but not resolved.

Answer: Jplasma and BBL Hello, thank you for your question. Yes you are correct in saying that the FDA did not approve Jplasma. If this is something you are concerned with then it should be a discussion between you and your plastic Surgeon. Of course you want some one who is trained.

Answer: Is BBL + JPlasma dangerous? Hello @Diligent427080 thank you for your question. In a surgery of this type we use technologies that allow us to reduce the characteristics of the volumes without producing so much trauma to the tissues, that is what the micro air is for. J plasma is the combination of radiofrequency with helium, which allow us to achieve a greater skin retraction in these patients that want to achieve better results with respect to flaccidity, which is one of the major problems that patients have months after having undergone liposuction. The experience and skill of the surgeon is crucial to achieve a great result with this technology. I knife in hands of a common person is dangerous, however in the hands of a surgeon saves a life. Choose a very experienced specialist, check what kind of specialist is, his experience, the techniques and technology he or she uses and the results (before and after cases). This tehcnologies also coses less trauma to the body and therefore less pain, I link a video to shed more light. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD FACS

Answer: BBL and JPlasma Dear Diligent427080, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is BBL + JPlasma dangerous? NO J-Plasma should be used! I have been against J-Plasma for last 4 years because I have and had been treating severe J-Plasma complications with or without combination with BBLs. You need to re think the surgery and whom you chose....
