Hello ! I'm almost a month post op from my bbl. just wondering when is it safe to begin using a waist trainer/cincher after lipo ? I'll be switching from my compression garment & foams to a soft spanks like garment with a waist trainer over it. Just don't want to do any harm.
Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift/ Fat Grafting/ Fat Transfer/ High Definition Liposuction I appreciate your question.I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocols for their patients. Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history and how are healing following surgery. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery.Best of luck! Answer: Waist training after a BBL You should ask your plastic surgeon what he or she thinks is appropriate for you.One month after liposuction you're still swollen but basically healed.I would recommend starting with gentle tension at first and see how you tolerate it.I have seen a few patients get skin injuries from these when they are too tight.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.

Answer: Waist training after BBL Excellent question!!!If you were my patient, I would recommend additional pressure under the garment with lipo-foam day 4 after surgery, and additional pressure over the garment the second week.Additional pressure over the post surgical garment would include: a waist shaper over the garment, a new smaller size garment, or a tailored existing garment. I would resize every week to keep up with the decreased swelling. The goal is to keep consistant tight pressure over the waistline and all of the liposuction areas to reduce edema and swelling deformities such as rolls, asymmetrical skin folds, seromas, etc.Hope this helps your recovery. And I wish you well in your recovery!Dr McAdoo
