Sleeping after a BBL?

I had a BBL on 6/1/16. My surgeon only got 300 cc's into each cheek, he mainly put it on my sides, so I have a nice hourglass figure. I don't feel like there is a lot of projection from the side view, but whatever. Over 9,000 dollars, and I'm not 200% happy. Im having a really hard time sleeping. Obviously my body is still sore & swollen. I've tried sleeping on my tummy and it seems to hurt more. I put pillows under my lower back to keep pressure off my butt, & that makes my back hurt worse

Hi and great question.  I appreciate the time you are spending researching the post op recovery.I would discuss this with your surgeon; he/she has a specific knowledge of the procedure performed and can give you the best advice.  I think it is important to try and stay off your buttocks after fat has been transferred (that included to the hips).  You are doing the positioning correctly.  The best position is on the stomach.  However, if you are not able to tolerate that then I would pressure off load the area with pillows; but remember you will potentially be sacrificing some of the transferred fat viability.  Full Torso (Tummy, flanks, back, thighs) liposuction is uncomfortable at first; it should improve significantly after the first week.I hope that helps.  Best of luck!

Finding comfortable positioning after a BBL is probably the hardest part. If fat is transferred to both the buttocks and hips, then you can only lay on your stomach, but this an be uncomfortable because of the liposuction. In my practice I recommend 10 days with no pressure. Every PS is different, so talk to your PS to see what they say. Swelling in the areas of liposuction will continue to increase up to two weeks after surgery before it starts to go down.
