I might be getting a rhinoplasty since i have a dorsal hump but I'm afraid something will go wrong and my nose will end up looking worse than it already did. However I have seen many people happy with there results but yet I am afraid that something will go wrong. So any tips to calm my nerves? Also,If anyone could recommend good rhinoplasty surgeons in miami/Ft. Lauderdale area that

The best way to calm your nerves is to find the doctor that you trust. Your gut feeling about the MD is the most important part of the process. Find someone whose work you like, whose results you appreciate, whose nurses are great etc etc. The rest will take care of itself! Dr. Kim Murray is who i would go to for a rhinoplasty in miami.

After checking a surgeons credentials, reviews and photos, consider consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists - this may be the best way to reduce anxiety. Rhinoplasty is a difficult endeavor, so is very important to choose your rhinoplasty specialist based on extensive experience with the procedure. The dorsal hump can be shaved down and the bridge and tip refined.  Look for a surgeon who has dedicated a significant component of their practice to the discipline of rhinoplasty, performs  them  very often on a weekly basis, has an extensive portfolio before and after patients in their rhinoplasty photo gallery.

selecting your board certified plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon as
your provider.  Take a look at the practice’s website, before/after
pictures, speaking with other patients  regarding their experience with

See a different board certified surgeon that perform rhinoplasty. See their results and the one you feel comfortable with should be your surgeon. Make sure you read and do research about the procedure so you know what to expect the good and the bad and what to do if things are not to your satisfaction.Good luck!

When choosing your rhinoplasty surgeon, you should consider the following:1) board certification in plastic surgery or facial plastic surgery2) before and after photos3) you need to feel comfortable and have a rapport with the surgeon. You will be linked together for a year of followup4) consider the importance of maintaining a nose that breathes well. A nose should look great, but also needs to be able to function!5) specialization in rhinoplasty. This is one of the most challenging operations in all of plastic surgery, since it is a change of millimeters, not inches.There is no special trick about staying calm. This is a new experience and it is normal to be nervous. You will know when you are ready when you have met the right doctor. Good luck with the process!
