Upper eyelid/sub-brow fillers are used in hollow upper eyelid as an alternative to surgically repairing the upper eyelid. I personal do not think the fillers are ideal for these issues but I recognized that not everyone has the same level of surgical skill so they seek alternatives to surgeries. In your case, you have upper eyelid ptosis with relatively normal sub-brow volume. I recommend a ptosis surgery. The choice of ptosis surgery recommended should be determined after a detailed personal assessment. The American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery maintains a regional directory on their website than can help you identify a highly qualified surgeon close to home.
It's hard to judge by this picture as you are "smizing" or smiling with your eyes.Based on the picture, I doesn't look like you would benefit from upper eyelid filler. You make benefit from ptosis surgery without blepharoplasty if the lid position is low when you aren't smiling. Less is more with a face like yours.Hope that helps.
From your photo you appear to have ptosis of both upper lids worse on the left side. I would recommend an evaluation with an oculoplastic specialist who can determine the best treatment options. I believe you will be a good candidate for surgery. Wishing you the best of luck!
The photo alone is insufficient to make a definitive judgment but your brows are low. You may need eyelid surgery combined with a brow pexy. I would not recommend filler for you.
Dear Karl, it is impossible to answer your question with this single photo. You are smiling in the photo which completely changes your eyelid position. Smiling makes the eyes smaller, so hard to judge the lid position. Ptosis surgery is done when the eyelid edge is too low and covers part of the eye. Fillers are put in the eyelid if there is too much hollowness beneath the brow. Totally separate problems. You may need, both, or neither! Please see an Oculoplastic surgeon for an personal consultation.Best of luckDr. Mohadjer
