Can ptosis surgery be reversed and what is the best kind of doctor to fix this? (Photo)

I had ptosis surgery 2 months ago. My eyelid was overcorrected, so 2 weeks ago my surgeon performed the surgery again to bring it down but it’s still too high. Can this just be reversed as it was before surgeries? What is the best kind of doctor to fix others mistakes?

If you had an anterior levator resection ptosis surgery, and the suture used to permanently anchor the levator aponeurosis has eroded through the back surface of the eyelid to rub the cornea, this is a problem. Wearing a contact lens is only a temporary measure. That suture should be removed...

Usually best to wait 3+ months before considering additional ptosis surgery. There are always exceptions as need more information and evaluation in consultation to give you accurate answer.

It may be possible but it depends on exactly what type of ptosis surgery you had before and how the eyelid looks now. See an expert oculoplastic surgeon.

You may have Hering's effect where the other eyelid droops after one side ptosis surgery. Discuss with your original surgeon. You may benefit from other eye ptosis surgery too.
