BBL one week post, can I wear leggings? What are post BBL friendly clothes?

I've been wearing sweatpants but I wanted to wear something else. I was going to ask my doctor but I forgot and I don't see him until 6 weeks. Am I allowed to wear leggings ?

Thank you very much for this interesting question. Every plastic surgeon will have their own style of treating the post operative result in order to achieve the maximum possible improvement.  It is a good idea if you are not absolutely sure to call the office. In my office you would be allowed to wear leggings if they are not tied around your buttocks. You have to try and avoid to wear or do anything that applies pressure on the fat cells Within the first three weeks. Fat cells are in the most honorable within the first week after the surgery. Your plastic surgeon knows your postoperative course best and would be better able to advise you on this.  His office staff should be able to answer your question.You are relatively early on in the healing process. I would recommend that you not wear leggings for four week to six weeks.  Loose, comfortable clothes to wear over the compression garment are best.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
