At this time implants have a much higher complication rate than autologous fat transfer making fat transfer the more common procedure.
Thank you for your question, most patients prefer the Brazilian butt lift since its your own fat that's used to sculpt your body, the biggest problems patients have with buttocks implants is the high risk of infections in the incision area, implant encapsulation or rejection and displacement; Aside that both have similar operating room risks.I would advice you to have a in person consultation with several doctors for you to get to know each doctors procedure and make a more informed decision.Good Luck. Both Brazilian buttock lift and buttock implants (silicone) are safe ways to augment the buttocks. Buttock implants are associated with more complications however.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
They each have their own unique set of complications. The buttock implants must be removed 5 to 10% of the time, which tends to make this a less popular choice. Great question! Both procedures are safe if performed by a certified plastic surgeon. However, fat transfer to the butt has become a more popular method as it projects more natural results. Best Wishes!
Thanks for your question. In my practice I offer Brazilian butt lifts as the preferred method for buttock enhancement. The complication rate for buttock implants is high and leads to revisionary surgery in many circumstances. In my opinion autologous fat transfer to the buttock can be performed effectively and safely by a board certified plastic surgeon that understands the areas to properly inject using the appropriate instrumentation.Best wishes
Thanks so much for your inquiry, I would say that BBL have a better acceptance than implants, for many reasons: BBL leaves a more natural outcome, plus it is from your own fat cells so it is safer; results after the absorption period is through, they are permanent, if you keep your weight stable, different than the implants which need to be replaced. Please keep on doing your research and discuss thoroughly your expectations and your probable outcome. Good luck in your plastic Surgery Journey!
A BBL is generally considered a "safer" procedure due to the higher risk of complications associated with the buttocks implant surgery. BBLs typically look more natural than implants as well.
Your risk may be slightly higher, but I have performed this procedure safely in well-controlled diabetics. Find a BBL expert who performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
In many patients I can take out 5 liters and transfer 2000 cc of fat per side, but I would have to see at least some pictures to make that determination. Find a BBL expert who performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth...
I try to work with patients who may fit into a broad range of body types and weights. I think that the surgery should be as safe as possible. If a patient's weight makes the procedure unsafe, then the procedure should not be performed. Otherwise, I think it is possible get very...
It doesn't appear as though much damage was done as things look very good! I don't know how consistent a patient can be in avoiding direct pressure when sleeping. That being said, with all the Brazilian Buttlift patients in my practice, I have never restricted them in ways to sleep. Check wi...
Dear Courtneyharris33,In general, if you maintain your current workout regimen and body fat percentage you should not loose the fat that survives the transfer. About 60-70% of the fat transferred usually survives permanently if you maintain your weight and body fat percentage. With...
