I plan on getting a BBL done in the next 6 months, I'm 5'1 & 116 lbs. I have those "problem areas" I want grafted into my bum. However I do workout 6 days a week, if I keep up on my workout plan will the fat burn off from doing squats? I have no complaints about my bum now but I do want to enhance it.
Answer: Will fat grafts burn off with working out Dear Courtneyharris33,In general, if you maintain your current workout regimen and body fat percentage you should not loose the fat that survives the transfer. About 60-70% of the fat transferred usually survives permanently if you maintain your weight and body fat percentage. With regards to your pre op photo, it is difficult to comment because the photo is taken from a bit too close. It would help if you could re-post your question with photos from straight behind you and level with your buttocks and from the side, similar to the before and after photos you see on this website. But from the one photo you posted, it appears that you have a nicely shaped buttocks already and that your "problem areas" are likely not very big and will not provide a lot of fat to be transferred. You may need a buttocks implant if your desired result is a large augmentation. The best advice is to see a plastic surgeon who specializes in gluteal shaping for an in person consultation. There they can examine you and you can have a discussion with them with regards to your goals and the possibilities with fat grafting for fat grafting alone with an implant. I hope this helps and best wishes.

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift: will the fat grafted injections burn off if I am a workout junkie? Hello, and thank you for reaching out to us.A healthy lifestyle is always encouraged and welcomed. This does not however ensure that you will retain more or less fat cells. In my patients, they can expect between 60-80% of the fat to survive. The survival rate depends both on the genetics of your body and the skill of the surgeon. Post surgery, you should follow the plan laid out to you by your surgeon, and avoid putting pressure on your backside (sitting) when possible. My recommendation is that you find an ASPS board certified surgeon in your area who specializes in the BBL, and set up an in person consult. An in person consult with an an ASPS board certified surgeon is the only way to determine the best route for your body and your goals. It is all about designing the perfect plan for You.Good luck, please let us know how it goes.-Dr. Constantino Mendieta

Answer: Exercise and fat transfer If you exercise a lot you will likely burn off most of the fat that you have transferred to your buttock. You appear to be thin now so you would have to gain and maintain the new higher weight in order to have enough fat to do the surgery. Watch this brief video for more information.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift: will the fat grafted injections burn off if I am a workout junkie? It is difficult to give specific recommendations based on the partially clothed photo of you and no true posterior view. You do have good skin and some fat on the waist/hips area. The transferred fat will stay in spite of your exercise routine, if you are not loosing volume now. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. BBL is a very common procedure which I incorporated in all my body sculpting procedures with the VASER technique. Good luck.
