i am very interested in getting a tummy tuck done after i have my baby in November this is my second baby, my first baby left me with loose skin that made me look pregnant all the time im pretty sure that after i have this baby is going to be worse. i also scar really bad kind of like a keloid type of scar, is always raised and just looks really bad, im scared of getting a huge scar and then its all raised like a keloid.

Answer: Wait at least 6 months after delivery to have a tummy tuck It's best to wait until you have fully healed from delivery and your muscle tone has returned before having a tummy tuck. If you are lucky, this may happen in 3 months, but for most women it takes 6-12 months. It it is a strenuous surgery, and you won't be able to lift anything over 10 or 15 pounds for 6-8 weeks after the procedure, so keep that in mind too since you may have to arrange for help around the house or for your children while you recover. good luck!
