Answer: Tummy tuck after c-section I would recommend waiting about 6 months after you stop breast feeding if you are doing so. If you are not breast feeding, you can have a tummy tuck about 6 months after the delivery as long as you have regained your pre-pregnancy health and body condition.

CONTACT NOW Answer: How long should I wait to get a tummy tuck after a c-section? I would recommend waiting for 6 months following your C-section as you need time to recover from that surgery first. This will also allow your body to return to its pre-pregnancy state which will give you an optimal result. Keep in mind, following your tummy tuck and during your recovery, there will be lifting restrictions for a period of time so you may want to have child care in place for your new baby. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Answer: Tummy tuck after C-section Thank you very much for you enquiry. We generally recommend that you wait at least 3-4 months after a C-section before having a tummy tuck. This is because it is important to let the skin and muscles fully recover prior to considering further surgery. The other point to consider is that generally we recommend that you do not have further children after a tummy tuck. This is because the muscles are repaired and the excess skin removed and having a further child would compromise this repair. So, in summary I think it is possible to have surgery 3-4 months after C-section so long as you have achieved your pre-baby weight, are generally fit and healthy and do not wish to have any further children. Best wishes.
