I underwent a rhinoplasty with Dr. Augenstein a few months ago and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! He is an extremely talented surgeon and his staff is amazing. Every single encounter I had in his office was warm, welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable. He has completely changed my life and I am SO thankful I chose him as my surgeon. I will forever recommend him and his wonderful team. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
So I've wanted implants since I was probably 14 years old. After having 3 kids and breasting them all I feel like it was finally time to do something for myself. I was super nervous from all the bad experiences you read about but luckily I found Dr. Augenstein. He really is so easy to talk to and very down to earth so it's easy to feel comfortable. His staff is also amazing and very accommodating even with the multiple times I contacted them wanting a different size. I personally like the fake look. I know a lot of places prefer to do more natural. His suggestions to the goal I was looking for were spot on and I'm beyond happy with my results! I ended up going with 340cc ultra high profile silicone HSC+. I'm 7 weeks post op now and they look so good, I'm obsessed :) Updated on 9 Oct 2022: Update to add a bit more information. I'm 5'7" 110lbs and small framed. I went from a 28B/30A to measuring at a 28G cup now. Here's a before and after to show the insane transformation ................... Updated on 17 Nov 2022: They are softening up a lot! I'm 13 weeks 3 days post op and still measuring at a 28G bra size. underbust: 28in overbust: 34.5in I have a bit of asymmetry but that's how they were before, also one of my ribs stick out more so the right side looks a bit bigger. overall I'm even more happy with my results as the days go by :)

Updated on 12 Jul 2021: Today’s is my 5 days since I had my surgery. Girls still high but isn’t as hard as the first time. Still feeling pain and tightness and pressure. I can raise my hand without any feeling pain .Im going to update you guys in my two weeks. I can’t wait for my babies to dropped Updated on 13 Jul 2021: Today is Tuesday one week after my surgery. The girls are getting better and better. Im feeling fantastic last night I can’t sleep I feel so much tightness and pressure in my breast a a little pain I know all of this is normal but when I wake up this morning my boobs feels so hard and very tight maybe because the muscles are stretching and that is the cause of the tightness: Next Monday will be my two weeks visit. I will update you guys and see what my dr. Says :) Updated on 3 Aug 2021: Wanna update my one month post op. The girls are fluffed already. Incisions seems healing pretty well a little itchy sometimes and feel little pain but I think it’s part of healing. and the girls are starting soft and not hard anymore feeling some shooting pain sometimes aside from that it looks pretty great nipple not sensitive as before. So yeah I love my healing process not bad as what I watch in YouTube and other people probably because I do what my dr. Told me to do.
I am 30, 5’6” 153 lbs and have two kids (ages 4 and 1.5). I had been thinking and talking with my husband about doing breast augmentation ever since I had deflation from my first child and breastfeeding. Then after my second I knew I really wanted to do something because I had lost all upper fullness. After meeting with Dr Augenstein for a virtual consultation I decided to do a c-section scar revision and liposuction of my abdomen and flanks as well as the breast augmentation. I had my procedure today and I was super nervous for several reasons. First, I have an 18 month old and I am stay at home mom so the thought of not being able to pick her up, etc made me anxious about the recovery.Second, I still feel a lot of emotions about the c-section as it was an emergency and the recovery was tough so revisiting that incision and making a new one was a little hard to come to terms with. Dr. Augenstein made me feel very confident in the decision to revise it, make it lower and a little longer so that he could smooth out some of the skin below my belly button and make my abdomen more taut without having to do a tummy tuck (I didn’t have any problems with muscles separation).I work out a good bit, running and weight lifting. I felt like I just couldn’t do anything about the pooch. You couldn’t notice it in jeans but if I wore dresses it seemed like I could be pregnant. I went in for my pre op appointment to try on sizers to see how many cc’s would be appropriate for me. After trying some on and the doctor coming in to measure, he suggested to do maybe 385cc silicone on one side and 415cc on the other. When he mentioned doing the 415cc I got a little anxious over what if that is too big.I went in imagining I would go with maybe 350’s but nothing in the 400 range. The next day I sent an email with some examples from his site that I was looking for and what I wasn’t looking for. I also wrote about my anxiety over having too large of breasts to fit my active lifestyle. His clinic was very helpful in their response and gave me reassurance over the sizes. I felt great after that because I got to air all my thoughts so I wouldn’t feel regret after the surgery. I’ll update with my post op pics and review of recovery. Updated on 19 Oct 2020: I am going to update from the past few days post op. I had the operation Friday and the surgery took about 4 hours. I came in from out of town to have it so after I went back to a hotel. Those first few hours post op were a painful blur, its a lot for the body to adjust to! But by that evening I was walking around, went around the hotel parking lot and could stand up pretty straight. The weirdest part was how the chest muscles reacted to the implants because normal things were now undoable for me. Like I couldn’t open my medication bottles, the hotel door, things that I never realized utilized those muscles. Not a big deal, that is why I had someone with me. As far as pain management, I found that I did not need the hydrocodone. I stuck to the muscle relaxer and gabapentin but keep in mind that I didn’t have a full tummy tuck. The morning after surgery I went in for a follow up with the surgeon. After surgery they put an abdominal binder on me with foam boards and a surgical bra so I had only a glimpse of what they did until the surgeon took it all off to check everything. I was totally amazed by my stomach. I have never seen it so flat. He told me they took out 750 ml total from my abdomen and flanks and about 12 oz of skin from the c section revision. I am so glad that I didn’t talk myself out of doing the revision because I would never have been able to get these results on my own! There is some dimpling in the skin but that is due to internal sutures that will dissolve and even out. As far as the implants, the day of surgery Dr Augenstein told me he brought 3 different sizes and if I was comfortable he would make the decision once in surgery. He ended up choosing 415 cc for both and I am glad that I let him decide because that number would have scared me into a smaller implant on my own. They look just right for my frame. Of course they are sitting high at the moment from the muscles contracting them up but he assured me they will settle down into my natural breast which is totally normal. I can’t wait to see how the results will start to appear in the next weeks. If you have questions please ask! Reading through people’s reviews really helped me so if I can clear anything up I’d love to help. Updated on 24 Oct 2020: I went yesterday for a follow up with my surgeon. Everything looks to be healing well. I am still wearing an abdominal binder that was put on me directly after surgery. No more lipo foam underneath. I have the option of wearing a post surgery girdle type garment but it is so much more uncomfortable than the binder so I will only wear that if I have to go among friends because you can’t notice it as much under clothes. As far as pain, it eases up some every day. Definitely is dependent on how much I did that day. My implants seem to be dropping, the contractions that make you feel engorged like when a milk supply comes in has finally gone away. The incision under my breasts sometimes feels like pins and needles but it’s not unbearable. My husband took our girls to visit his family for the weekend so I would be able to rest some more. I feel like I need to keep taking care of them completely when they are around even though everyone is more than willing to help. So with them gone I felt comfortable taking a sleep aid and I woke up feeling better than I have so far. I think being able to sleep deeply and not constantly turn and consequently tug at all of my incisions was a huge help to my healing process. I will go back to the surgeon at the end of the week for another follow up and will update again then. Updated on 1 Apr 2022: I am so thrilled with how everything turned out. Wanted to update with the fully settled result. I am also down 15 pounds in the new pictures from the preop pictures. I have gone back and forth with not sure if I should’ve done a full tummy tuck as I do have loose skin above my belly button but it is something only I really notice and it isn’t noticeable under clothes.
Dr. Augenstein is amazing!! I had liposuction 6 weeks ago, and I must say.....I look PHENOMENAL!! I am so happy with my results and so happy Dr. Augenstein was my surgeon. There are so many surgeons in the area it was overwhelming at first who to go with, but after our consult I knew he was the one. I had some abnormalities to my stomach that I wasn't sure could be fixed, so we reviewed my expectations and he was very clear I may still have subtle abnormalities however improved with liposuction. Lets face it we all want to look and feel the best we can and miracles can happen people! I look the best I've ever looked and the indentation on my stomach is so subtle I can't even see it anymore which makes me feel so much better about myself!! Thank you Dr. A for being top Doc!
Dr. Augenstein made me feel comfortable from the moment he walked into my consultation with him and I walked out knowing that I had found my surgeon! He took time to really understand what I was looking to accomplish with my abdominoplasty. He walked me through every step of the process and even gave out his personal cell phone so I could reach him directly with any questions I had before/after surgery. I was blown away by that - Talk about an incredible bedside manner! I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Augenstein. His nurses and office partners are equally incredible. I am 6 months out from my surgery now and could not be happier with my results. Thank you Dr. A! - Dawn T.
I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Augenstein and his staff. He always made himself available for any questions I had. I absolutely recommend him. At the hospital, the nurses made it clear he was one of their favorite surgeons as well.
Ever ask your nurse or doctor friend who they would recommend? Maybe you have wondered who operating room staff would go to for their plastic surgery procedure? It is Dr. Augenstein. I worked with a plastic surgeon a decade ago who educated me on what to look for in a surgeon if I ever felt the need for a "mommy makeover" after I was done having children. 10 years and 3 children later I decided it was time. As a physician myself, I have quietly watched the work of many plastic surgeons here in Charlotte and during my training, residency and fellowship in 2 other states waiting to meet one that would measure up to standard I was told years ago. It was with Dr. Augenstein that I found a match. What is the standard? For me it was Board Certification in Plastic Surgery, excellent surgical skill, deep medical knowledge and great bedside manner. He actually exceeds this standard. On my initial visit I told him about a friend who was going through personal difficulty. He has asked about her every time I have seen him after and went out of his way to help a women he had never met. I have seen him with his other patients and he genuinely has a deep caring for them personally and wants them to be happy with themselves and their results. During the consultation I inquired about Cool Sculpting he was honest and didn't up sell me on a procedure I didn't need. Fast forward to the procedure and my results. One of the other reasons I chose him was that he uses a Board Certified Anesthesiologist to oversee the anesthesia to provide his patients with the best care. I was EXTREMELY nervous the day of the procedure and he and the anesthesia team took incredible care of me. He and the anesthesiologists he uses practice multi-modal anesthesia to limit the amount of discomfort and nausea I had after the procedure. I felt so great after my tummy tuck, breast lift and augmentation that I could have gone back to work after 4-5 days of rest! His office is immaculate and his office staff are top notch. I can go on and on and on. In fact, I would be willing to talk to you personally if you had any reservations about having the procedure I had or who to choose. He has my permission to give you my contact info.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Augenstein! I was not happy with my lip filler results from a previous injector...I always felt like it ended up in the wrong place and I was never able to achieve the shape and look I was hoping for. Dr. Augenstein sat patiently with me and listened to all the points that I covered that I had not been happy with, along with what I was wanting. He gave me his opinion regarding how he thought we could get closest to the results I wanted and never stood up until we both agreed to what was discussed. He chose a different filler than I had tried before as he thought it would be a better option. We did 0.7-0.8cc of Velour (My previous injector used Juvederm Ultra XC). He said we should stop at that for now and I should come back in 3 weeks to see how things settled and then decide if we should add the rest to my lips or use it elsewhere (never knew that was an option!). I am really pleased with my results and am planning to have him do my body procedures when I'm ready. I love that the practice is small because it feels more personal. I had been going to a larger practice that always felt a bit chaotic. My husband had a procedure done at the larger practice and I always felt that the Dr. was in a rush to get to the next patient. I never felt that he was "present." I did not get this feeling from Dr. Augenstein at all. I felt that I had his full attention at all times and did not feel rushed in any way.
Based on the folds you have, liposuction alone would not be sufficient and would leave you with excess skin. Combining liposuction to the entire midsection, front and back, with a tummy tuck, would be the only way to get the flat stomach you desire.
Ultimately a tummy tuck and liposuction of your abdomen, flanks and love handles would give you a great result and flat belly. Your best and safest starting point is weight loss prior to this procedure. Meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation can help you figure out the goals and where you need to be prior to surgery. Best of luck in your journey.
Thank you for your question...to achieve the result you are looking for you would benefit from both a breast lift and an implant. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon to review all your options and select an appropriate implant and procedure to achieve your goals. Best of luck.
Low thyroid levels would not affect a rhinoplasty but would be best to have your thyroid levels regulated appropriately when undergoing general anesthesia.
An in office examination is beset to determine which type of tummy tuck incision is best to meet your goals, but based on the pictures I believe a fleur de lis type incision is likely unnecessary. Best of luck.
