Answer: Brachioplasty/arm lift after weight loss Congratulations on successfully losing the weight and I hope you experience the many health benefits that follow. There are many academic centers throughout the country which train plastic surgeons through residencies and fellowships. These programs have cosmetic surgery clinics where these surgeons-in-training evaluate, operate and follow up with patients who are candidates for procedures such as the arm lift. These cases are overseen by practicing surgeons as part of their academic requirements and the operations are discounted heavily if compared to the fees of private practices. I would recommend scheduling a consultation so that you may be fully informed of your choices as many patients have good experiences in this setting.

Answer: Arm lift brachioplasty arm reduction Arm liposuction I would be happy to help. I would suggest a full brachioplasty or arm lift with arm liposuction. This involves an incision from the armpit to the elbow. The procedure takes about 2 to 3 hours. The procedure is done on an outpatient basis. Drains are not involved. Arm compression garments are suggested for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

Answer: Pro bono cosmetic surgery Getting plastic surgeons to do cosmetic surgery for free is a hard thing to do,but not impossible, depending on your problem and circumstances. Many plastic surgeons donate their time and skills in caring for young children with birth defects like cleft lip and palate but rarely for cosmetic cases. Most surgeons will offer financing via payment plans, credit cards or financing vehicles like Carecredit. You may wish to explore options at your major, local teaching hospitals with plastic surgery residencies.I have participated for years offering pro bono supervision and advise to senior plastic surgery fellows at Harvard where they are the main doctors but have skilled, board certified people helping before and during the procedure. Many of these programs offer either free care or care at a sharply reduced rate compared to private practices.
