Please see your surgeon to have this tended to. It is probably a suture that is making its way out.
Most likely you are spitting a suture which is nothing to worry about but it is best that your operative physician is aware since he/she is most familiar with your case. Schedule an appointment as soon as possible.Best of luck,
Hi We see this from time to time. See the great two answers below. Go into the office right away this week to see your PS for local care. For now put a band aid over it and antibiotic ointment. Most likely it is nothing, but you want to be sure. All the best, Dr. Joe
Yes, this is normal and is usually due to dissolvable sutures that sometimes poke through the skin. Your surgeon can remove these in the office and the skin will heal over. Best wishes!
A small bump that drains a little fluid along an incision is usually just a inside stitch that has worked its way out. Cleansing and ointment is usually all that is required. However, you have a breast implant under that incision and there is a small chance of this pustule infecting the implant, which is a much much bigger deal. I recommend you contact your surgeon right away and follow their instructions.
Thank you for yourquestion. You appear to be dissolving some of your buried sutures or stitches. Sometimes a stitch can work its way up to the surface. Not too much to worry about. Ointment and a BandAid and it should resolve. To be sure, check with your surgeon's office.I hope this helps.
It looks like a spitting suture which is relatively simple to remove. Better to have this removed by your surgeon. Please don't touch it because you could infect it.
NEVER squeeze anything after a recent surgery!!! Please return to see your operative surgery for correct care...
A pimple, or pustule, on a scar can mean one of two things. If it is very small and superficial, it is likely a milia that does not contain any foreign material underneath it. These milia can be unroofed and then the scar will heal over. On the other hand, an area of scab formation, breakdown, or non-healing in a scar usually is caused by underlying suture material that was intended to stay under healed skin. This suture material is usually of the absorbable variety - but in certain instances it can be permanent suture material. I any case, that material usually needs to be removed by your surgeon in the office using simple instruments. Sometimes the scar result is not as ideal in the location of the wound that had the opening or delayed healing. Scar revision can be considered and your surgeon will recommend whether or not that scar area is amenable to revision in the future.Best wishes,Dr. Chatson
This may well be a suture spit which would be the most common cause of the small pimple. Please see her plastic surgeon for an examination and make certain that the suture material is removed.
I would discourage drumming just two weeks following a breast lift. This is still quite early in the post operative period. There is a good chance that you could cause injury to your breast that would require another surgery.
You do have two different breasts, different size implants, and use your arms differently. It is not unusual for one breast to settle a little more quickly than the other breast. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Tissue massage, anti-inflammatory drugs like...
Thanks for the question. You should be able to go on vacation by 3-4 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
