Several drs. recommended different treatment for my marionette lines..one recommended juvederm xc, another restylane with botox for corner of the mouth, another string lift... .I am so confused what to do which last longer and does it matter whether it is a plastic surgeon or dermatologist

Juvederm or Restylane would be good fillers for this area. It takes 1-2 weeks for your final results after fillers. I recommend getting a consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Hope this helps.

Marrionette lines are frequently treated with fillers. The choice between Restylane vs juvaderm, is frequently a injectors preference. It's better to have something with a higher G prime, which is more stable. Restylane is my preferred choice for that area. This will provide structure. 
However, you need to be cautious. If you were to totally correct that area for your case you might end up with a too much fullness there. You have significant facial ptosis or drooping that's causing the lines. So a facelift would likely give you the best correction. If that's too far on the spectrum for you to consider then doing fillers conservatively will improve the appearance. 
I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon, which will be able to offer you a full spectrum of treatment options.

A combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers (Juvederm, Radiesse, Bellafill) for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. We always recommend that you have a consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to learn the best treatment option for you, which will include an HA filler in most cases.  Based on the skill level of the provider, using Restylane or Juvederm here, and perhaps a little Botox, can give you an appropriate, natural looking outcome which is what you are looking for.

The issues presented are pure aging. The downward descent of facial issues from gravity effects. The thinning of the dermis,muscles and bone changing the 3-D appearances. The excess weight noted. This combination leads to the appearance you have posted for photo. Ha fillers, Botox, threading are ONLY very temporary slight improvements than need at least the correct volumes placed and reputation every 4 months. Otherwise the "gold standard" still is surgical facelifting. Best to seek want in person opinions from boarded MDs. My over the RS internet guess, if you are surgery adverse is: Juvederm Vollure sub dermal injections at least 2 syringes, micro Botox to mouth angles, PDO threading at least 20+, and Y Lift to angle of jaw and chin (ChYnLift) in one minor surgical procedure under local anesthesia. Fee: $8,000.

Thank you for sharing your question. There are a variety of products that will work well for you. In my practice, I like to use either Restylane Defyne or Revenesse Versa in this area. You will appreciate a nice softening of the marionette lines for 6-9 months with a full treatment, which may require 2 syringes. I would say that a thread lift would not be worth your while at this juncture and surgery would be the most permanent solution when you are ready.
