1 week since Restylane in 11s, forehead lumpy and looks like a small crater-dip. Will it go away? (photo)

Question

I got restylane filler in lips-1ml, nasiolabial-0.5 either side and 11s lines which i hate most of all less than 0.4 approx, a week ago. Lips and sides of mouth are perfect.. swelling has gone and no lumps in either but my forehead is still very lumpy looks like a small crater.. sore to touch in certain areas n itchy.. is this normal im starting to scare myself googling..

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photograph. Bumps and unevenness usually clear up after 1-2 weeks following injection of Restylane. The bumps appear higher than the location of the 11’s. See your doctor in person for evaluation. If it is only filler, it can be massaged down a bit or dissolved with Vitrase.Good luck,

It can take up to 2 weeks for final results. I would wait a full 2 weeks before assessing your results. If you're unhappy with your result, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

Im sorry to hear that you aren't pleased with your results. Typically filler isn't used in the 11's because it doesn't treat the root of the problem. Dysport and Botox are usually a better treatment because they weaken the muscle that causes the 11's. Another reason most injectors stay away from filler in the forehead is that there is a risk of occlusion of the CRA, cutting off blood supply to the optic nerve. 
If you are still sore and/or unhappy with your results you should call your injector for reversal of the filler using Hyaluronidase.

Filler in this area can go bumpy as the area moves with facial expression. There may still be some swelling which may soften, and the filler will also soften over the first 2 weeks. It is best to be reviewed by your doctor at 2 weeks. If it is still too bumpy the filler can be removed by Hyalse, although this can cause bruising.
Often it is best ( and less risky) to treat this area with Toxin to reduce the lines, and only use filler if the lines are still there.

Fillers are not the best choice to treat the glabellar complex and it is difficult to get smooth as Botox is much better. however the lumps will go away and if you want then get Botox
