How much fat can be removed at one time when combined with a BBL?

I'm a having this done in Miami and I want to know how much fat is equal to how many CC'S will be taken and injected? I heard once that up to 30lbs can be lipoed at one time, is that true? If so will that much be able to be removed with a bbl?

Thanks for posting.  In Florida rules dictate a maximum of 4L of fat in the outpatient setting.  Two L of fat in the buttock is HUGE!  Please see attached web reference.  Good luck!

The maximum amount of fat that can be removed by liposuction is 5000ccc as out patient. Any thing above that should be done in a hospital as in patient. 30 Pounds of liposuction is crazy, unsafe and illogical.Liposuction is for shaping the body and not for weight loss

Unless your surgeon intends to break the law and put your life at risk I can guarantee you that he will not liposuction 30 pounds of fat off you.The laws vary from state to state, if the surgery is an outpatient procedure (ie you go home after surgery) AND if it is liposuction done along with other operations such as a Tummy Tuck. Owing to several highly publicized deaths, Florida has some of the strictest regulations in the country and limits the amount of actual fat in OUTPATIENT setting removed to 4 liters (around 9 pounds). IF a tummy Tuck is done, liposuction may not exceed 1 liter. If your surgeon puts you in the hospital after the surgery for hydration and observation, he could remove a lot more (but the cost of hospitalization may be significant).Peter Aldea MD
