Is this eyelid ptosis after Botox? (Photo)

It is very likely you have some eyelid droop which is called ptosis. The good news it is temporary and the amount of botox you had put in is relatively small so it should resolve quickly. Those types of drops will help as well as Naphcon A or visine red eyes which can be bought over the counter.

From your photo, it appears that you have some ptosis. Without before pictures, knowing where you were injected, and doing an in person exam it's hard to say exactly what is going on. However, I don't think iopidine drops would hurt to try. Luckily, sometimes heaviness will dissipate after 4-6 weeks. Best wishes. 

Yes it is possible that you are experiencing an upper eyelid droop. This can happen if the Botox in inadvertanly injected into the muscle that raises that opens and closes the upper eyelid. It's unfortunate but thankfully it's temporary.  If the Botox has relaxed the actually upper eyelid muscle, than yes the eyedrops should help. Either way, in most cases your eyelid should return to its natural position within several weeks. Best of luck. 

In the photo, one eyelid looks lower than the other. However, photos cannot be used to diagnose eyelid droop versus brow drop. Have an examination by an experienced injector. I have never seen this when only 4 units are used per side. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO 

It appears you may be having some effect of ptosis. I would discuss your concerns in-person with your treating board certified plastic surgeon. Best.

From the picture it does appear you may have a slight ptosis. Looking at both eyes as well as seeing movement would help clarify it though . You should reconsult with your injector.

Yes you have ptosis from your botox injections. If the injection location is moved slightly it can cause eyelid drooping.  Your new injector more than likely moved the injection site causing this result.  Iopidine does work for this so you could try it. Fortunately this usually fully resolves in about 3 weeks. Hope this is helpful and best of luck.

Botox is a great and the most popular procedure in my office. However, the only adverse result can be ptosis. It looks like you have a small ptosis which should resolve in a few weeks.  I always encourage my patients to remain upright for 4 hours after Botox injections, avoid bending down, and avoid massaging the treated area or exercise for 24 hours.  Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results. Without in person examination can not offer a dx. I would try the iodine drops anyway. The good news is with ONLY 4 units used the time for the effect to be metabolized away will be within 3 to 6 months. Best to discuss again with your injecting MD.
