Thank you for your question! Yes, you can have a BBL procedure with a history of endometriosis. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question.Endometriosis is not a contraindication to BBL surgery unless it is very symptomatic. Take Care,Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hello,Thank you for your pictures and the question. Yes, the operation will not affect endometriosis nor the result of the operation itself. It only goes to the subcutaneous region, not affecting the internal organs. All contouring of the body operation can be performed under these circumstances. The fat of the body is transferred through liposuction and grafted into the buttocks giving the desired contour.Best Regards, DR CEM PAYASLI .
Having endometriosis should not prevent you from having a BBL. Be sure to inform your board certified PS if you are taking any birth control or other hormonal medications to help control your endometriosis.
Hello and thank you for your question. The short answer is 'yes'. You can still have a BBL and any other body contouring procedure. It is necessary to see some photos and have more information (height and weight) prior to giving advice. Generally speaking, BBL includes a 360 liposuction of the abdomen and flanks, etc and fat transfer for gluteal augmentation. Liposuction of the flanks will narrow down the waist for an hourglass appearance and adding volume to buttocks in combination with liposuction of the lower back is intended at creating a natural curvy look. Basically, BBL removes the fat from unwanted areas and transfers it to areas that are desirable. It's important to understand that BBL cannot change the underlying body frame and therefore, individual results can vary, as everyone has a different anatomy. At times, BBL can be combined with tummy tuck (if indicated) to address excess abdominal skin and repair the muscle separation from previous pregnancies. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Thank you for your question.Endometriosis is not a contraindication for surgery. A BBL is not entering the abdominal cavity, it is working in the subcutaneous tissue. There should be not effect on the endometriosis.
Thank you for your question. Endometriosis should not be a contraindication for proceeding with elective surgery such as a BBL. If there is any concern, speak to your primary care doctor or OB/GYN and obtain an operative clearance before surgery and always make sure you are discussing your medical history completely with your plastic surgeon.Good luck!Dallas R. Though an exam would be necessary, this may represent fat necrosis. This can soften over the course of 6 months to a year. These areas if larger or painful can be surgically excised. Contour irregularities can then be fat grafted.
Dear guapoeton123, you will likely see your weight gain in a uniform distribution after a fat transfer to the buttock (Brazilian buttock lift). The weight or fat that you gain after surgery will not necessarily all go to your buttock area. Similar to weight loss, It’s important to realize t...
