BBL: When will the swelling in the Liposuction areas go down? When will the swelling in my butt go down ?

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos and experience with us. You should find that every week you're swelling continues to go down. It may take several months for you to get your final result. I would recommend that you visit with your plastic surgeon who can continue to monitor your progress alongside with you..

You are still early in the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation, discomfort and irregularities are normal.
If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Congratulations for your results, and of course Merry Christmas and a Happy 2016.Your Body and your Buttocks will resides at the same time, as the areas around your buttocks get less swelling you will see more projection. Sometimes it takes 3 to 4 month to complete the recovery period.I suggest physical therapy in all the areas of Liposuction to speed recovery, but not in the injected area of buttocks.

I tell my patients that most swelling will go down in 3-6 weeks but it can take 4-6 months for the residual swelling to subside.

This is a question only your surgeon can answer because he or she knows what was done during your surgery.  Techniques vary from surgeon to surgeon as does post-operative swelling.  Best wishes.

HiThanks for the question.  I think you look GREAT for 10 days postop, and you are gonna love your result.  The liposuctioned areas will take a few weeks to settle down, but can take up to 6 months before all the swelling resolves.  Your butt will be swollen as you said, and some of the swelling will resolve over the next 6 weeks.  Also, some of the fat may not survive either, so you may lose some volume from that as well.  I think even with that, you are going to have good volume and projection.  This is a common concern for patients.  Happens with breast augmentation all the time too.  Once everything settles you will probably feel differently.  If you don then you might just need a "touch up" down the road to try and add some more volume.  Discuss this with your surgeon and I am sure they will reassure you.  Good Luck
