I am 4 weeks post breast augmentation surgery and still have bruises from the tape. Is that normal for bruises to take such a long time to heal? Besides that, my breasts look and feel great

Answer: Bruising after Breast Aug Most patients should have no bruising after breast augmentation, and those that do usually only have it for a week or two. That said, every once in a while someone will have bruising that takes a longer time to go away. I suspect your bruising was from bleeding during or right after the surgery since I can't see how tape would cause a bruise this large. I would check in with your surgeon to make sure he or she thinks it is ok. Even if things look and feel fine now, if there is any blood around the implant, it can increase your long term risk of capsular contracture.

Answer: Bruising after breast augmentation Though bruising like you have is uncommon, it is not unheard of. These can take some time to disperse after surgery. Continue to be patient. Congratulations on an excellent result!
