Steri strip fell off one week after surgery. (photo)

I had my breast augmentation last Thursday and one of my steri strips fell off. It's a Saturday so I can't go into my doctor's office today, but should I cover the incision with paper tape? The incision looks a little bruised but totally normal.

Tenderness 3 weeks following surgery doesn't worry me too much unless there are any other issues... I would assume you have a follow up visit scheduled and if not I would make an appointment to make sure there is not anything your surgeon needs to address.

Hi there, Thank you for your question. The numbness/ tingling sensation could have something to do with the position you were in during the surgery. However if the feeling persists you could consider speaking with your surgeon. Best, realdrsix

A horse voice and painful swallowing six days after breast augmentation with general anesthesia is rare. A phone call and or visit with your plastic surgeon would be suggested so that he or she may discuss your symptoms with the anesthesiologist.

It is sometimes seen to have spitting sutures 4 weeks post operation. The answer to your question may be that it wasn't there at the time of the exam or that it is not ready to fully come out yet. You can always go back so they trim it down if it is bothering you. I do recommend you consult...
