Is This Mondors Cord? What can I do about it? (photos)

Question

I am 3 weeks and five days post op I got 350cc high profile round textured silicone implants over the muscle. My doctor is having me do some massage on the implants. As I was massaging this morning I noticed in the mirror what looked like strings under my boobs and I have been a little extra sore on my ribs beneath my boobs. I called my doctor and he said it wasnormal and to continue to massage and they should go away. He did not say what they were though. Is this mondors cord? What should I do?

Hello,This could be mondor's cords which are normal and will resolve on their own. Sometimes if they are sore, your Surgeon will recommend heat and massage but they will likely take a few weeks to resolve.All the best

In my experience, it is not uncommon for my patients to begin to notice their Mondor chords at three weeks after surgery, which is when you are noticing yours. These are just irritated veins that need time to heal. At six weeks, they are gone for most of my patients. I've never seen it last much longer than that.
