Why am I in so much pain after scar revision surgery when dr. said to just take ibuprofen?

After having a revision on the side flap bra strap fat that was done during my breast reduction five months ago due to puckering of skin, a chunk more skin removed and then stitched up, dr. said to take ibuprofen for pain, that pain would not be bad, I am hurting and throbbing pain makes me want to cry the day after. Is this kind of pain normal? Ibuprofen does nothing to help.

Based on your pictures it look like you are healing well, just give it more time for them to settle and continue to follow up with your PS to discuss your concerns.

This is not uncommon i recommend you do not apply any ointments and just keep it dry it should in time. keep it covered with dry gauze.best wishes.

It is generally advicsed to wear your bra for six weeks post op. After that you can go without a bra. However you should not expose the scars to sunlight for twelve months as they can darken.
