Is it normal to feel pain (achy dull pain) in lower teeth/gums after chin dermal filler?

I had derma filler Ultra injected into my across my chin with a canula yesterday to fill and smooth out little fine wrinkles. Today I am bruised and sore and semi swollen .. My bottom teeth seem to be irritated.. Kinda of a dul achy pain. Also where she injected kinda puffy. Will this go away? She was having trouble moving the canual around and I believe this is why I feel my bottom teeth ache. I just dont want any nerve damage from this. Should I go back to her ? Is this normal?

Yes, this can happen after a chin filler treatment. You may also have some swelling after treatment. It may take up to 2 weeks for final results. Hope this helps.

Yes, this can be typical. You may also have swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks after filler injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Some tenderness is not uncommon.  It should be relieved with over the counter pain medicine such as Tylenol.  If it doesn't improve within the next few days return to your injector for an evaluation.

Depending on the technique the doctor is using, some patients may have a few hours of discomfort following the chin augmentation with fillers where the skin and tissues underneath are being stretched. Applying moist, warm compresses will relieve the pain almost immediately. Good luck from New York City

Thank you for your question. Yes, this can be completely normal. The pain / ache should subside in a day or two, where the bruising and / or swelling can last up to 7-14 days, depending. If the pain suddenly worsens, or doesn't improve with Tylenol or Motrin, then I would suggest going back to your injector be evaluated. Best of luck!
