It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can be asymmetrical, and last 1-2 weeks after chin filler injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
There normally is some swelling after a filler is injected into the chin, and sometimes the swelling is worse on one side versus the other. Since you just had your injection today, it is impossible to know if the asymmetry you see is due to swelling or the filler. I would recommend waiting 1-2 weeks for the filler to settle in. If there is still some asymmetry after that time, it may be possible to improve it by adding more filler to even it out.
There is definitely an element of edema (swelling) after chin filler injections which may cause the appearance of asymmetry. This swelling should resolve in the next 24-48 hours. I recommend icing the area regularly throughout the next 48 hours. If the asymmetry is still noticeable then likely there was a problem with the injection technique and proper filler placement to achieve symmetry. I advise following up with the injector if this persists. Depending on the type of filler used it may be dissolvable or it may be massaged into place to achieve correction of the asymmetry. Good luck!
