I had “safe” 360 Vader lipo and Jplasma 8 months ago. My stomach has ripples and looks uneven. My surgeon is saying this can be fixed with a wooden lymphatic roller and to do this daily. I’m getting really nervous this is botched though and he isn’t being honest. Would radio frequency assist. Some days it looks worse than others.
Answer: Liposuction results Liposuction results are based on two variables. The first is your candidacy for surgery in the first place and the second is the skill of the provider. To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedures we need to see before and after pictures. If you don’t have it before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. no surgical treatment is going to change the outcome of your Liposuction results. Your results are purely based on how the procedure was performed. Delivering consistent quality quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who approach mystery of Liposuction isn’t reality quite small. Poorly done Liposuction is very difficult and any attempt at revision can easily make things worse. Considering that revision surgery is much more difficult than primary Liposuction Any attempt at improving your outcome should only be done if you are certain you found somebody who is truly exceptional at Liposuction. Exceptional plastic surgeons, deliver exceptional outcomes. Being good at other plastic surgery procedures does not mean somebody is good at Liposuction. To find the right provider, I suggest patients schedule multiple in person consultations before selecting a provider. Bring pictures of your body to use as a reference during the consultation. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own period Highly experienced surgeons should have access to more before and after pictures than you have time to look at during the consultation. This is the most important variable when choosing a provider. The biggest mistake I see patients make is having only one consultation and then scheduling surgery. By having only one consultation patients more or less eliminate the ability to choose a better provider. How many before and after pictures of Liposuction results did your provider show you? I’m not a big fan of VASER and I’ve lost all faith in J plasma as being a valuable addition. At eight months, your results are final and they are not going to change from here on. You’re not going to be able to change your outcome from using any type of manual manipulation as recommended. Doing so is simply a waste of time, money and may have potential discomfort. There may be room for improvement, but recognize that secondary liposuction is much more difficult than primary procedures. The ability to deliver equality outcome after somebody has done poor quality Liposuction is extremely difficult and usually not possible. There may be room for some improvement, but whether this justifies paying for a second procedure is something you need to Consider carefully. It’s also going to be difficult to find a provider who has sufficient skill and experience to justify the revision procedure. Generally speaking the best plastic surgeons at revision surgery we’re going to be the same providers who do the best primary procedures. in other words, there are no surgeons specialize in revision liposuction. Simply being good at Liposuction means being good at the procedure and this includes primary procedures and revision work. The most difficult outcomes to improve on our of patients who either or not good candidates for liposuction because of skin laxity or who had very aggressive treatments during the first procedure. Considering that VAS ER was used, I’m guessing the majority of subcutaneous fat has been removed. It’s interesting that your skin is smooth Over your lower chest and this area untreated. I wish I could be more optimistic, but my best recommendation for you is to be careful to not add insult to injury.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
