During my fellowship training in the 90s, my rhinoplasty teacher used to use blue Prolene sutures just like you may have. We switched to long lasting dissolvable stitches for this exact reason. The news is that an extruding stitch is typically simple to remove in the office with local anesthetic and minimal downtime, depending on your examination. Your photograph is not particularly clear however I suspect that if you consult with a reputable rhinoplasty specialist, you may leave his office without the blue stitch. I hope this helps!
